SWYC 5th Annual Boat Parade (Sat, September 05, 2026)

About the Parade:

Vessels of all shapes and sizes are welcome to enter! We are limiting it to powered vessels at this time.

The participating boats will do a slow procession down the river allowing full viewing of their artistically decorated entries and the crew’s acting ability and enthusiasm giving both the judges and the homes along the river course a sight to remember! We will end our journey at the Sweetwater Marina and Riverdeck.

We encourage the homes along the river course to participate by decorating their homes/yards and throwing their own good time party. We would love to see enthusiasm from the homes to cheer the boats on and hype up the participants.

The parade will begin approximately at dusk on September 5, 2026 . We would like all patrons of the River deck to vote for their favorites that night. Our members will be out among them encouraging all to vote.

We are starting and stopping at Sweetwater going up and down the river.

Registration

The fee is $25.00. You must complete registration and pay fee to be eligible for judging. No refunds.

Captain, or a designee, is required to attend the captain’s meeting which will be held at the Sweetwater Marina on September 5, 2026 at 6 pm.

You can register by going to www.sweetwateryachtclub.com You need to supply us with captain’s name, telephone number, boat make & model, boat length and decorating theme. You’ll receive a confirmation email. All boats must be registered and pay for by September 4, 2026

And now the fine print:

 No flammable materials including fireworks or sparklers.

 No political décor/themes.

 No weapons.

 Maritime law shall be followed at all times.

 Boats must be under power at all times.

 Procession will be at no wake zone speed starting at the judging spot until the Riverdeck.

 Currently no jet skis or personal floating vessels.

 All Captains are responsible for the behavior on their boat.

 Please be sure to have the required number of life jackets for the number of people on your boat.

Day of Parade

 Parade line-up begins at 7:00 at Sweetwater Marina

 Procession will begin at dusk.

 Boats will line up by the number assigned at the captain’s meeting, smallest to largest.

 Judging at Sweetwater Marina.

Amateur Cornhole Tailgate Tournament (Sat, September 12, 2026)

Amateur Cornhole Tailgate Tournament at the Sweetwater Riverdeck on Sept 12.

Registration starts at 10am and games start time is 11am.

The Entry Fee is $50 per person. Each team is $100.00. Must register individually.

1st & 2nd place teams will win prize money.. (Amount is dependent on how many teams sign up.)

Only accepting 32 teams!
